Plane tabling is a device used in surveying and in related disciplines to provide a solid and level surface on which to make  field drawings,charts and maps.

Advantages:- Ground is in front of us and we can plot.
                          Proper Geometry

Disadvantages:-Weathering Conditions
                              No Record
                              White paper reflection in hot sun conditions

Plane tabling is nothing but geological projection of the field charactristics on a sheet. It is required when the places are not accessible so by using that we willl create map of particular place.
