Construction Line in AutoCAD is used for multiple purposes, like:

1. To draw an infinite horizontal, vertical or angular line.
2. To draw offset (off set is used to draw the walls etc) and projections etc.
3. To bisect an angle.
4. Construction Lines are Really useful for aligning different object in AutoCAD
5. To check a certain line for horizontal or vertical etc.
