The three biggest drawbacks or disadvantages of being a civil engineer are:
a) The pay is not that great considering the amount of education you have to get;
b) Depending on the type of work you want to do, you may have to move frequently (if you're working on a construction site you have to go where the construction is; and
c) It takes a long time to learn what you need to know!
