Question

Is there a way of exporting and importing Project codes? Or in other words what is the quickest way of entering large number of project code values into P6? I have a spreadsheet of Project codes and and project code values that needs to be entered into P6. Please enlighten.....:-)

There are a set of excel utilities that are available for download from Oracle support.

They require the SDK set up to work.

They are as follows.

Activity.xls
Import and Export Activity Details, including general Activity Data, Relationships, Resource Assignments, Code Assignments, Resource Assignments, Steps, Expenses, and UDF Assignments to/from Excel.

To register for Oracle support you will need a valid support identifier which you should be able to get from your IT department.

Search for Excel Utilities in the knowledge section.
